The highest “Santorini” distinctions for Santo Wines

Santo Wines is awarded with the highest scores among all the Santorini wines in yet another International Competition; this time it is Challenge International Du Vin 2015 that rewarded the Union’s ongoing investment in the production and worldwide promotion of Santorini wines. From Paris Santo Wines brings home three (3) medals: two Golds for SANTORINI ASSYRTIKO GRANDE RESERVE 2012 and SANTORINI NYKTERI 2014, and a Silver medal for VINSANTO 12 years of ageing.

As far as SANTORINI ASSYRTIKO GRANDE RESERVE 2012 is concerned, the wine received the highest score of all white wines outside France that were submitted to the Competition, a remarkable distinction, which granted a SPECIAL PRIZE to Santo Wines, one of the 18 awarded in total in various categories. Following the Gold medal at Thessaloniki International Wine Competition 2015, SANTORINI ASSYRTIKO GRANDE RESERVE 2012 carries success and outstanding reviews evincing the potential of the aged Santorini Assyrtikos.

In this respect, during a recent visit at the wineries of Santorini, Evan Saviolidis –one of the most known Sommelier Consultants and wine writer in Ontario Canada- gave to SANTORINI ASSYRTIKO GRANDE RESERVE 2012 the highest rating (92 points) of all the wines he tasted at the island.
