With profound pain in our hearts, we are daily informed about the human losses and the magnitude of the disaster caused by the 23 July wildfires in Attica.

Our thoughts are with the victims' families and on all the people who suffers. The Union of Santorini Cooperatives stands by those who are in need and decided to contribute 5,000 euros for the reconstruction of "Lyrio Children Foundation", the orphanage which was accommodating 45 children and declared by authorities as not suitable for habitation due to the damages caused by the fire.

We wish the acts of solidarity to continue by all Greeks and we call on the members of our Cooperatives and each one of our fellow citizens in Santorini to support in any way they can.
